Nights in this game are pitch black. Fitting the realistic medieval setting of the game, there are close to no light sources at night, especially as you travel. On top of that, walking around at night without a torch makes you seem quite shady, making guards wary of you.
Fret not, though, using a torch in this game is pretty simple! Read on and we’ll tell you how to use them.
How To Use A Torch | Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The first thing required to use a torch in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is to have one. You can buy them from every general Trader in the game, such as Merchant Jurg Thomel in Troskowitz. However, they’re also common from looting bodies.
Once you have a Torch, you need to equip it. To do that, open your inventory by pressing the I key (PC) or Down on the D-Pad (controller). Then look for the torch within the inventory and click on it (PC) or press A/X (controller).
Torches take up their own dedicated slot in Henry’s equipment, so don’t worry about them replacing other things!

With that done, now you just need to press the R key (PC) or hold Down on the D-Pad (controller) to pull out the torch. Note that Henry carries torches in his off-hand, however. That means that you will be unable to use shields and two-handed weapons while holding the torch. Still, at least you can see in the dark now!
So, there you have it, that’s how to use a torch in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. No more running around blindly in the pitch-dark night for Henry, now! Plus, you won’t get accosted by guards who think you’re up to no good anymore.
Speaking of another early game tip… did you happen to reach a spot where Henry loses his horse, Pebbles? Well, if you did, we have a guide going over how to recover Pebbles without losing money!
