Remnant 2’s Dark Horizon DLC introduces a powerful new trait–Insight. This trait is highly sought after for its ability to automatically generate Mod Power, making it a game-changer for players focusing on mod-heavy or explosive builds.
To unlock the Insight trait, players must defeat the final boss, Alepsis-Taura, under specific conditions during the Convergence encounter. In this guide, I’ll break down the requirements, and important decisions regarding the destroying of the crystals to determine whether you’ll walk away with the Insight trait or miss out on it entirely.
How To Get Insight Trait (New Trait) | The Dark Horizon DLC
The Insight trait can be unlocked by defeating the final boss of The Dark Horizon DLC, Alepsis-Taura under certain conditions:
- Destroying 0 Crystals: This guarantees you the Insight trait and the Eternal Chamber material.
- Destroying 1 Crystal: There is evidence suggesting that you can still unlock the trait by destroying just one crystal.
- Destroying 2 Crystals: If you destroy both crystals, you will only receive the Black Mass material and miss out on the trait.
Most players recommend either destroying no crystals or just one if you want to unlock the trait while still collecting other rewards.
NOTE: However, if you’re only after the Insight trait, you can skip all the dungeons and go directly to Alepsis-Taura in The Convergence. You’ll miss out on the Dark Matter Gauntlet though.
Trait Overview: Insight Trait
The Insight trait automatically generates up to 10 Mod Power per second. Because of the insane buff it provides, it plays a crucial role in mod and explosive builds in the DLC, as it boosts your character’s ability to regenerate mod power faster — which is key to sustaining mod spam playstyles!
