The NieR Automata crossover DLC  for Stellar Blade is finally here, and you’ll need to find all of the Stellar Tears locations if you want to get everything it has to offer.

This DLC adds Emil as a new NPC and shopkeeper to Stellar Blade. He’s seeking Stellar Tears and offers to trade them for new NieR-themed cosmetics for EVE to wear. It’s not the grand story DLC that NieR fans might’ve expected, but at least it has a bit more going on for it than just being a cosmetic pack.

Anyway, in this guide we’ll tell you the exact locations for all 15 Stellar Tears in the Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC.

Emil’s Shop’s Grand Opening!

Junkyard | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

The first thing you should do to start collecting Stellar Tears is to meet with Emil. You can find him roaming around the Junkyard supply camp in the southeastern part of the Wasteland.

Emil's Shop

Emil, who is now a wacky-looking shopping cart, will be riding along the paths by the Junkyard. He’s most often found northwest of the camp. If he doesn’t appear or he manages to escape from you, rest at the Junkyard and try to find him again.

Talk with Emil | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

Shoot Emil when you find him to stop him from rampaging, then talk with him. He’ll tell you about his shop, which sells a bunch of cosmetics for EVE that are based on NieR Automata.

As we mentioned before, there are a total of 15 Stellar Tears to find across the game’s world. It’s time to start collecting all of these so you can get what Emil’s selling!

All Wasteland Stellar Tears Locations | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata

Southeastern Factory Area

Stellar Tear 1 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

This Stellar Tear is in the abandoned factory-like area in the southeastern corner of the Wasteland.

You should spot the Stellar Tear’s white glow at the opposite end of the area as soon as you get in. We’ve marked it on the image above for you. Take the path to your right to reach it. There are no obstacles or anything, so it’s very straightforward.

Grab the Stellar Tear off the floor to collect it. Also, watch EVE show off some sweet moves as she picks it up! Get used to the animation because you’re going to see it for every single Stellar Tear.

Southwestern Shipwreck

Stellar Tear 2 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

For the next Stellar Tear, go to the southwestern corner of the Wasteland, shown above.

The Stellar Tear is near a ship’s wreckage, right by the edge of the map. It’s just lying on the ground, so pick it up and make it yours.

Platforming Along the Cliffs

Stellar Tear 3 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

To start collecting this Stellar Tear, go to the spot marked on the map above. It’s in the southwestern part of the Wasteland region.

You should notice a cliff with some climbable ledges there. Take heed of the classic yellow paint markings and climb up the cliff.

Once you climb up, go straight ahead to reach a section with branches you can swing on. Use them to reach the far side along the cliff.

You’ll end up in a more open area with a group of enemies. Take them out or ignore them, that’s up to you. Either way, climb up the painted ledges there to continue.

As soon as you climb up, turn left and look for a wooden rope bridge and some enemies. Walk toward the enemies, noting that you’ll most likely need to defeat them to proceed. They’re quite annoying, aren’t they?

Anyway, continue down the path to the southwest once you’ve defeated the enemies. You should see a ledge you can drop down.

The Stellar Tear is out in the open as soon as you drop down the ledge. That certainly was a lot more work than the previous Stellar Tears, right?

Solar Tower Entrance

Stellar Tear 4 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

Next up is the Stellar Tear near the Solar Tower Entrance supply camp in the western part of the Wasteland.

From the supply camp, go west to the solar array panels and walk alongside the outer rim of the area. Keep heading west while walking alongside the outer rim and you’ll eventually find the Stellar Tear near the solar panels. Guess this Stellar Tear needed some solar energy!

Western Cave

Stellar Tear 5 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

It’s now time to head to the large cave on the western part of the Wasteland. It’s directly north of the Solar Tower, for reference.

You should see the Stellar Tear’s tell-tale white glow on the opposite end of the cave as soon as you enter it.

Just swim over to the far side of the cave to reach the Stellar Tear. Quite a trivial task for EVE.

Bus Stop

Stellar Tear 6 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

For this Stellar Tear, go to the Bus Stop Legion Camp in the eastern part of the Wasteland.

Look for the broken-down bus near the Bus Stop and jump onto it.

Then, jump from the bus onto the nearby cliff.

Turn to your left after the jump and look for a billboard. The Stellar Tear is right below the billboard. Was it planning to set up an ad for Emil’s Shop here?

North-Central Wasteland

Stellar Tear 7 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

Now, go to the north-central part of the Wasteland marked above. It’s northwest of the Bus Stop legion camp you were at previously.

You should see a broken-down billboard with the letters “DG” on it, as well as a green container buried in the sand in front of it.

The Stellar Tear is on top of the container, right in front of the billboard. Seriously, what’s up with these things and billboards?

Scrap Yard

Stellar Tear 8 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

This time you’ll have to go to the Scrap Yard in the northeastern part of the Wasteland.

As soon as you head inside, go forward and to the right. Keep hugging the wall to your right as you enter the Scrap Yard.

You’ll effectively do a long U-turn and reach some blue containers. Climb on top of those containers to reach the steel platform above.

Once you’ve climbed up to the platform, turn right to find the Steel Tear lying on the floor. Pick it up and let EVE do her flashy pick-up move as usual.

That was the last of the Stellar Tear locations in the Wasteland, so you’ll need to move on to the Great Desert next if you want to get all of the Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC! As a quick recap, you now have 8 out of 15 Stellar Tears if you’ve followed this guide in order. That also means you’re over halfway through!

All Great Desert Stellar Tears Locations | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata

Petrified Guardians

Stellar Tear 9 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

For the first of all Stellar Tears locations in the Great Desert, go to the spot marked above. It’s near the southwestern entrance to the area.

You’ll spot a group of seemingly petrified Guardians near some wooden crates.

The Stellar Tear is right in the middle of the small congregation of Guardians. Did the Stellar Tear do this to them or something?

Solar Tower

Stellar Tear 10 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

Next up, go to the Solar Tower in the southeastern corner of the Great Desert.

Go directly south of the Solar Tower and you should see a few containers piled near some solar panels.

Climb on top of the highest container to find the Stellar Tear. That marks our 10th Stellar Tear, by the way, so there’s only 5 more to go!

Neon Sign Ruins

Stellar Tear 11 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

The Great Desert really has a lot fewer landmarks than the Wasteland does, huh? Anyway, for this Stellar Tear, you need to go to the spot marked on the map above. It’s around the middle of the ruins in the eastern part of the desert.

Once you’re there, look for a building with a neon sign showing an arrow going up. Follow the sign’s instructions by climbing up the nearby ladder.

After climbing the ladder, turn to your left and look for a metal sheet pointing toward another building. Use the metal sheet to jump across to the next building.

Then, turn to your right and continue forward along the rooftops until you reach a roof with a bunch of dark blue supply crates.

Jump onto the highest supply crate on the rooftop to find the Stellar Tear. Pick it up and be careful not to fall off the rooftop! Guess EVE doesn’t feel vertigo…

Ruined Opera House Dome

Stellar Tear 12 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

The next Stellar Tear is in the dome-shaped Opera House in the middle of the ruins on the eastern part of the Great Desert.

Once you reach the Opera House, look for an opening on the roof with a yellow platform drone. Jump onto the drone and let it carefully take you down to the ledge below.

Walk alongside the ledge until you’re close to the winged statue. Drop down onto the statue, and then drop down to the ground level. You’ll take a bit of fall damage, but it shouldn’t be anywhere near lethal unless you’re in critical condition already.

The Stellar Tear is on the sand at the ground level, between some of the stalls. Guess it’s waiting for a show… we don’t think there’ll be any opera show here anytime soon, though.

Oasis

Stellar Tear 13 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

Time for Stellar Tear number 13! This one is on the northwestern corner of the oasis in the middle of the Great Desert. It’s northwest of the fishing hut.

This one can be tricky to see, but it’s right below a palm tree close to the oasis. Watch out for any nearby enemies before picking it up, too!

Western Abandoned Building

Stellar Tear 14 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

Head to the spot marked on the map above to find an abandoned building on the western edge of the Great Desert.

Get inside the building and you’ll see a large orange supply crate. Push it toward the ledge on your left so that you can climb up.

Once you get up the ledge, follow the poles and protrusions on the walls to continue climbing to the top of the building. It’s pretty linear and straightforward here.

The Stellar Tear is on the top floor you get to, overlooking the entrance to the building. It sure would’ve been nice if it had fallen so EVE didn’t have to climb all the way to reach it, but oh well…

Statue in the Desert

Stellar Tear 15 | Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC: All Stellar Tears Locations Guide

At long last, the last of all the Stellar Tears locations in the Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC! For this one, go to the partially-buried statue in the northwestern part of the Great Desert. It’s in the exact spot marked above.

You can spot the statue from far away quite easily. Do be warned, though, that there are multiple enemies there waiting to ambush you. Get ready for a fight!

Check the statue’s feet once you’ve dealt with the enemies. The Stellar Blade is right in front of the statue, so pick it up and you’re all done.

If you followed this guide in order, you’ve now visited the locations for all the Stellar Tiers there are to find in the Stellar Blade X NieR Automata DLC. The only thing left for you to do is to go back to Emil’s Shop and start trading them in if you haven’t been doing so already. You can now dress up EVE in full NieR Automata gear!

This isn’t the only new collectible and cosmetics, though, the Photo Mode update also introduced some costumes for you to find. You can get those even if you don’t own the NieR Automata crossover DLC! For more, check out our guide on the “Like Butterflies” quest as well as our guide on the “Pisces” quest.
