Where to Find Emil | Emil’s Location, NieR Automata DLC
Emil does not really have a set location, at least as far as anybody can tell right now. Instead, he roams the Great Desert and Wasteland regions. Just keep an eye out for a small vehicle driving around frantically.
If he is nearby, it is almost impossible to miss him as he will be playing some really distinctive music through a loudspeaker. The vehicle itself is also pretty loud, and it will be hard to ignore it with the trails of sand it is kicking up.
When you spot Emil, just shoot the car and it will flip over and stop, giving you an opportunity to approach him and start a transaction. You can also try your luck with melee, but it is highly recommended to just use a ranged weapon to stop him.
Resting at the Wasteland, particularly at the Junkyard can seemingly have a high chance of having him spawn somewhere nearby, though your mileage may vary with this method.
Just run around the desert or wasteland until you can find him. Once you knock him down and access his shop, you will notice that you need a special currency in order to buy anything from him.
In order to get these, check out our guide on how to find all of the stellar tears. Once you have gotten all of that, you can buy out Emil’s entire selection. When this occurs, he will now drive off into the distance, never to be seen again (or at least we think so).
That is pretty much all you need to know about Emil in this new DLC. He just sells a bunch of cosmetics that are taken directly from NieR: Automata, as you would have probably expected. As an additional reward for buying all of his stuff, you will also be able to play new music at your camp!
