“Boundary of Deduction” is one of the many side quests you can find in the Tethys’ Deep region in Wuthering Waves.

You encounter a malfunctioning robot who just keeps repeating the same instructions over and over again. What caused it to malfunction like this, though? Sounds like a mystery for you to solve, Rover! Help fix the robot to get to the bottom of this mystery.

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to start and finish this mysterious side quest.

Boundary of Deduction Guide

Quest start location

To start the “Boundary of Deduction” quest in Wuthering Waves, you have to go to the Error Cell region of the Tethys’ Deep region. Use the Resonance Beacon marked above and fast travel there.

KU-Repair

Go inside the Error Cell itself and go up to the second floor. You should see a robot called KU-Repair by the northern door on the second floor. Approach it and talk with it. Something seems to be up with the poor robot, but you’ll officially start the quest now!

Analysis Room Entrance

Go through the door next to KU-Repair after the conversation to enter the Analysis Room.

Tablet

Security measures will activate as soon as you enter the room. Rush to the tablet right in front of you and interact with it to deactivate the security system. Read all the notes from the tablet and keep interacting with it to open a portal to a red room.

Portal

Once the portal appears, go through it. You’ll be in a red duplicate of the previous room, known as the Mysterious Room.

Mysterious Room

Now, your goal here is to pay attention to the monitors on the desks. You should notice that some of them are off while others are on. You have to make the Analysis Room (blue) match what you see in the Mysterious Room (red).

Try Turning it Off and On Again!

Puzzle Solution | Wuthering Waves: Boundary of Deduction Guide

Go back through the portal and turn off the monitors in the blue room. Face the portal to the red room and use the image above as a reference for which monitors to turn off. For a text version, it should be something like this:

  • Top Right Desk – Monitor facing the portal on, monitor facing the Analysis Room entrance off.
  • Top Left Desk – Monitor facing the portal on, monitor facing the Analysis Room entrance off.
  • Bottom Left Desk – Monitor facing the portal off, monitor facing the Analysis Room entrance on.
  • Bottom Right Desk – Monitor facing the portal off, monitor facing the Analysis Room entrance on.
Stubborn PC

Worth noting, however, that one of the computers is particularly stubborn. You’ll need to try turning it off multiple times, resulting in a strong Tacet Discord spawning. Defeat the Tacet Discord and you’ll be able to turn the thing off for once and for all!

Mysterious Room door

Once all monitors match in both rooms, go through the portal into the Mysterious Room again. This time, go to the back of the room and approach the door.

KU Repair and Person

The door will open and you’ll see KU-Repair and a person standing there. Talk with them and you’ll finally complete the “Boundary of Deduction” guide in Wuthering Waves!

That’s just one of the many side quests in Wuthering Waves 1.3, however. We highly recommend doing the “Amidst the Stars” event now, if you haven’t done so yet.
