Update 2.0 – How to Unlock Nightmare Echoes Guide
Unlocking the Nightmare Echoes is actually really simple. All you need to do is complete the side quest called Dream Patrol I. To help you with this, we already have a more detailed guide on how to complete Dream Patrol I.
Basically, you just need to talk to a strange cat sitting on top of a building in Ragunna City that has a large portal behind it. Speaking with this cat will mark the completion of the side quest, and it gives you the ability to hunt for Nightmare Echoes, which you can easily detect at the map.
By completing this side quest, you immediately gain access to the following Nightmare Echoes and their respective bosses:
- Nightmare: Feilian Beringal – This boss can be found at Hallowed Reach.
- Nightmare: Mourning Aix – This boss can be found at Nimbus Sanctum.
- Nightmare: Inferno Rider – This boss can be found at Averardo Vault.
- Nightmare: Impermanence Heron – This boss can be found at Thessaleo Fells.
- Nightmare: Thundering Mephis – This boss can be found at Whisperwind Haven.
As long as you have them unlocked, their icons should be visible on the map, so you literally cannot get lost while looking for them. The only thing to note is that the nightmare variant of both the Crownless and Tempest Mephis require other things to unlock.
Continue completing challenges in the remaining regions that are not covered by the other aforementioned bosses to unlock them. That really is all there is to it, so you have a lot of work ahead of you if you want them.
